Woman dies in South Boston fire

The Boston Fire Department reports a one-alarm fire at 380 East 8th St. early this morning claimed a woman's life.

The department reports firefighters responded around 5 a.m. to the fire, on the first floor of the two-story residence.

Boston Fire investigators, Boston Police detectives and the Suffolk County District Attorney's office are now investigating the fire, which displaced three other people.
