A teenager was shot around 11:45 p.m. in the area of 1 Gavin Way. The homicide unit was called in, just in case, due to the severity of his injuries.
It's the latest violent incident in recent months in and near the Mary Ellen McCormack Development: On July 12, police say a man ran at officers with a loaded gun at Gavin and Logan ways. On July 11, a person was shot in the face on Gavin Way. On June 20, a man was shot on O'Callaghan Way.
And on Dec. 5, a man was shot to death on Old Colony Avenue.
