Millennial city councilor pleads with her cohort not to be morons - and calls on government to help small businesses survive without letting millennials be morons

City Councilor Michelle Wu (at large) was a bit aghast when she saw this photo from South Boston today on the eve of its cancelled parade:

Small businesses need govt help so they don’t have to choose between facilitating COVID19 spread or going bankrupt.

To my fellow millennials/Gen Z, I know we feel safer bc data shows seniors are most vulnerable, but averages mask the risk and it’s on us to protect all our loved ones

In declaring a national emergency, the president said the Small Business Administration would be loaning money to companies in areas hit hard by Covid-19, but he also said Google is building a national site to register for testing, so who knows what will really happen.
